Second Annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive Completed

Rainbow International of Grundy County hosted its second annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive to help community members in need.

BEAMAN, IA. - March 25, 2016 - On Friday, Rainbow International of Grundy County and all of their local insurance agencies partners in Blackhawk, Bremer, Butler, Franklin, and Hardin counties finished their second annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive.

Rainbow International hosted the Food Drive to raise food donations for community members in need this spring.  They partnered with the following insurance agencies to collect food and non-perishable item donations in the community from Feb 29th to Mar 18th 2016. Their goal was to collect over 300 lbs of food this season to the over 19,000 food insecure families located in the collection counties.  
The totals finally came in!!  Rainbow International announced they, with the help of all of the wonderful people at the participating insurance agencies, were able to collect a little over 175lbs of food and non-perishable items. All of the food collected in each county was dispersed to county food banks such as the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, Bremer County Community Action, Aplington Parkersburg Food Pantry, Ackley Food Pantry, and the Hardin County Food Shelf. Each food pantry was incredibly appreciate to receive the donation as donations amounts are lower than average this time of year.
"It was deeply gratifying to work with such great agencies that put so much time and effort into helping others" says Becky Posusta, BDA for Rainbow International of Grundy County. "Unfortunately we didn't have as much community participation as we did during our first food drive and we are looking into alternative methods of promoting our food drive in the community. We want to do whatever we can to make this a success for our agents and community members in need."

Second Bi-Annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive

Rainbow International Restoration & Cleaning is hosting their second bi-annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive to help community members in need.

BEAMAN, IA. - February 26, 2016 - On Monday, Rainbow International of Grundy County and their participating local insurance agencies partners in Blackhawk, Benton, Butler, Franklin, and Hardin counties start the second bi-annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive.
Rainbow International is hosting the Food Drive to raise food donations for community members in need this Spring season.  They have partnered with the following insurance agencies to collect food and non-perishable item donations in the community from Feb 29th to Mar 18th 2016.  Their goal is to donate over 300 lbs of food this season to the over 19,000 food insecure families located in the collection counties.  All of the food collected in each county will be dispersed to county food banks such as the Ackley Food Pantry, Aplington-Parkersburg Food Pantry, Bremer County Community Action, Hardin County Food Shelf, and the Northeast Iowa Food Bank.. Please follow the guidelines listed below for item donations!
"After hosting our first food drive in the Fall of 2015, we had such a great turn out, we wanted to host a second drive with our partners in other counties we service. Our agents did an amazing job during our first food drive! I can't wait to see what we can do with our second!" says Becky Posusta, BDA for Rainbow International of Grundy County. "Rainbow International has partnered up with Ronald McDonald houses all over the US, but since we don't have any in our area we needed a way to give back to our community. Food Drives seemed like a great way to help those in need."

Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive is a Success!

Food Drive Success!


Rainbow International of Grundy County hosted its first annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive to help community members in need.
BEAMAN, IA. - December 23, 2015 - On Wednesday, Rainbow International of Grundy County and all of their local insurance agencies partners in Grundy, Marshall, and Tama counties finished their first annual Insurance Agency Partnership Food Drive.
Rainbow International hosted the Food Drive to raise food donations for community members in need this holiday season.  They partnered with the following insurance agencies to collect food and non-perishable item donations in the community from Nov 23rd to Dec 11th 2015. Their goal was to collect over 300 lbs of food this season to the over 7,800 food insecure families located in the collection counties.  
The totals finally came in!!  Rainbow International is extremely proud to announce they, with the help of all of the wonder people at the participating insurance agencies, were able to collect a little over 600 lbs of food and non-perishable items. All of the food collected in each county was dispersed to county food banks such as the Grundy County Food Pantry, the Marshalltown Food Box, Albion ACTS, State Center Community Cupboard, and the Northeast, Northwest, and South Tama County Food Pantries. Each food pantry was incredibly appreciate to receive the donation as most reported unusually high need this season.

"We are planning to host a food drive in every county we service. This is one way we can give back to our community and help those in need.
